Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends Report (2019)
Mary Meeker’s 2019 report on Internet Trends report, the 25th iteration, was released on the 11th June.
This year’s report highlighted some interesting features of the global Internet economy: slowing e-commerce sales growth, increased ad spending, data growth, more freemium subscription models, and an expanding on-demand economy. The company’s singled out in the report included: Slack, Stripe, Spotify, Dropbox, Twitch, Zoom, Instagram, and Canva.
Mary Meeker left Kleiner Perkins, a US venture capital firm founded in 1972, to set up Bond Capital and since doing so has successfully raised over a billion dollars in its first year of operation.
