Strategic Objectives
- To expand financial and social inclusion by making it easier for citizens to establish an identity that can lead eventually to compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) rules.
- To harmonise how digital identity is established and managed in the market to eliminate identity ‘arbitrage’ – the practice by which customers set off one RFSI against another during the account opening process.
- To formalise the recognition of vouching and referrals as legitimate bases for establishing citizen identity.
