Discussion Groups

All members (ordinary, participating, or trustee) can join discussion groups. It is in discussion groups that we set the agenda. Discussion groups are centred on particular issues and report back to the Governance Council with short discussion papers that summarise the findings made in the group. The results from discussion groups may lead to project or working group tasks.

Project Groups

All participating and trustee members can join project groups, or they can nominate a delegate. It is in project groups that we test out particular developments. These projects focus on ideas that require proving in the environment of PNG. Project groups report back to the Governance Council with project reports with recommendations that are to be addressed by a working group.

Working Groups

All participating and trustee members can join working groups, or they can nominate a delegate. It is in working groups that draft recommendations are written for consideration by the scheme's Governance Council. Draft recommendations are voted on and become final recommendations, which are then issued to the Scheme Commissioner for implementation.
