In addition interoperable digital ID systems can allow for real time updates across integrated systems allowing synchronisation, which maintains consistency and integrity across different systems. Underlying to maintaining integrity of user data, digital ID systems utilise encryption of data while in use, in transit and at rest. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) such as biometrics, combined with one-time passcodes, prevents unauthorised access to user data.
